Marigold Nights: Sadness FM’s debut album

Sadness FM’s debut album, Marigold Nights , brings nine songs together across dark ambient, breakbeat, trip-hop, darkwave and experimental electronic music. It moves through isolation, desire, defiance and remembrance, finding warmth in the people and moments that stay with us. From the distant textures of Veil to the unsettled movement of Havoc on the Dance Floor (Remix) , the album makes room for both emotional tension and physical rhythm. Marigold Night - Baila Conmigo turns remembrance into a dance, while The Garden of Now closes with an invitation to slow down and return to the present. Album release: 8 October 2026, through Progressive Hook Records. Listen on SoundCloud Progressive Hook Records · Marigold Night - Baila Conmigo

Woozy Way: two versions, one warped groove

HiGH VOLTAGE HOMOS brings Woozy Way and its Club Mix together in a two-track release that moves from a slow head trip to a driving dancefloor groove. The original leans into hypnotic trip-hop, deep bass and warped psychedelic electronics. The Club Mix carries the same woozy character into a faster house pulse, giving the shared lyric and disorienting motifs a different physical momentum. NEW RELEASE: Dreamport by Genesis Light Operation

Introducing Dreamport , the ambient side of Genesis Light Operation, and the debut album from a space created for drifting beyond the noise of the day into something quieter, deeper, and beautifully untethered. Across 19 vocal-free tracks, Dreamport unfolds as a continuous atmosphere for chilling out, quiet focus, meditation, late-night listening, daydreaming, or simply allowing the surrounding world to soften for a while. It is present enough to warm a room and hold a mood, yet restrained enough to leave your thoughts alone. Progressive Hook Records · Dreamport A quieter door into GLO Genesis Light Operation has never really belonged to one genre or one method of reaching inward. The Sonic Salve releases move through organic house, dub, acid-jazz colour, groove, resonance, and restoration. Chakras enters a more ritual electronic space, using mantra, voice, repetition, and ceremony as points of focus. Much of the catalogue has explored sonic empowerment and the reclamation...

Protect Musicians. Build Better Rules.

L ately, it feels like the conversation around generative AI in music has hit a painful standstill. On one side, there is an incredibly valid fear that human artistry is being devalued by an automated wave. On the other, creators using new tools feel defensive, worried about being cast aside or labeled as illegitimate. It is completely understandable why emotions are running so high. Music is deeply personal, and when the ways we create and earn a living change rapidly, it threatens our sense of security and identity. Many of us are feeling protective of human expression, while others are feeling inspired, or simply trying to survive, by exploring new technical frontiers. If we look back, this tension feels heavy because it echoes changes we have walked through before. The music industry did not suddenly become unstable when generative AI arrived. For decades, technology has continually shifted the ground beneath our feet. We saw it when digital audio workstations reduced our dependenc...

From 8-Tracks to the Coterie

How a little August release recap turned into a story about getting here. Greetings and salutations! If you are new here, welcome, and if you are returning, welcome back. I am excited to have you here in our very colourful and increasingly expansive Coterie world. Patrick is the name. The founder of the Arts Coterie Project, and I am also the voice behind Reverend Graye.  I am Gen X, which means I had the wonderful experience of growing up from the 1970s onward with what we now call classic rock, disco, new wave, punk, alternative and industrial music, along with whatever great Billboard hit happened to be everywhere at the time. My musical repertoire has only expanded since then. We get older, but apparently the goth, the raver and the club kid never got the memo. NEW RELEASE: Chakras by Genesis Light Operation

Progressive Hook Records · Chakras Genesis Light Operation presents Chakras Chakras is a twelve-track ritual-electronic journey through mantra, rhythm and resonance. Moving from invocation through the seven primary energy centres and onward into integration, gratitude and peace, the album brings Sanskrit mantra into a spacious electronic world shaped for reflection, movement and deep listening. Each piece carries its own atmosphere, while the full sequence unfolds as one continuous arc: grounding, opening, rising and returning. The journey Oṃ Maṅgala opens the ritual with an invocation of auspiciousness and blessing. Mūlādhāra grounds the body in earth, pulse and the steady strength of the root. Svādhiṣṭhāna moves into water, creative flow and the emotional current of the sacral centre. Maṇipūra gathers heat and intention around the solar fire. Anāhata opens the heart into breath, tenderness and spacious connection. Viśuddha rises into voice, truth and clear expre...

NEW RELEASE: Pop Art After Midnight

Progressive Hook Records · Pop Art After Midnight Pop Art After Midnight: The Stories Behind the Songs This was such a fun album to produce. Pop Art After Midnight lives in this whole retro world inspired by Pop Art, Studio 54, 90s club culture, fashion, sex, nightlife, John Waters, and a retrospective of being gay in the early 90s before the alphabet mafia started colonizing the LGB community to its nonsense today. A lot of this album came from looking backward. The songs are drawn from journal entries, old writings, poems and real-life experiences, then pulled apart, rewritten, reworked and produced into this weird little world with HiGH VOLTAGE HOMOS and Reverend Graye. Some of them are emotional. Some are observational. Some are ridiculous. Some are filthy. Basically, a fairly accurate archive. 😂 Tell Me, Tell Me When the asswipe of a partner confesses, gets caught cheating, or both. It’s that moment when they finally say the thing out loud and you’re sitting there thinking: “...
